For startups, Axel is the bridge to securing vital funding and the support needed to grow. Through partnerships with EBAN, GBAN and Sister Business Angel Networks from all over the world, we offer international cross-border investment opportunities. We require founders to undergo pre-screening, screening, and pitching stages before presenting their startups for investment.

Startup selection process

Here are the key criteria that we prioritise when evaluating startups to pitch to our members:

Team Strength
We evaluate the expertise, experience, and motivation of the startup's founding team and other team members, considering their capability to execute the strategy effectively and overcome challenges.
Market opportunity
We carefully access the startup's vision to determine its potential for global markets. We also look for founders with a strong commitment to international success – are they truly determined to make it big globally? Does the global market need them?
Tech & innovation
We consider whether the technology can adapt and grow as the market evolves. We assess how innovative the startup's technology or approach is. Does it use new and/or exciting ways to solve problems?
